Origin

Born from the Earth

Tabalet began not in a city, but in the fields. The original Tabalet Estudis was built inside a 19th-century Valencian farmhouse — alquería — surrounded by vegetable groves and the particular silence that only open Mediterranean land can offer. It was a place where the architecture itself seemed to listen.

The silence here is not empty. It is full of everything that has already been played.

The Setting

Mediterranean Light

There is a quality of light in Valencia that painters have chased for centuries. It falls differently here — warmer, more golden, more alive. Tabalet EastWest sits inside that light. The vegetable groves, the irrigation channels, the open sky: they are not backdrop. They are part of the sound.

The farmhouse was not converted into a studio. It became one — slowly, over decades, as the music shaped the space and the space shaped the music. Every wall carries the memory of sessions past.

Philosophy

East Meets West

The name Tabalet EastWest is not a metaphor. It is a commitment. The studio was built to be a meeting point — between musical traditions, between continents, between the ancient and the contemporary. Every session here is a conversation across cultures.

We have recorded flamenco guitarists alongside string quartets. Jazz pianists alongside oud players. Film composers alongside folk singers. The studio does not ask music to choose a side. It asks music to be itself.
